Car Rental Online Store Terms and Conditions
1. General Terms
1.1. These terms regulate the relationship between the car rental online store owner (rental company) and the user (lessee) who uses the service for booking and renting cars.
1.2. By using the car rental online store, the user agrees to these terms and undertakes to comply with them.
1.3. The rental company reserves the right to change these terms without prior notice. The latest version is available on the rental company’s website.
2. Registration and Personal Data
2.1. To make a vehicle reservation, the user must provide accurate and truthful information, including personal details, contact information, and driver’s license details.
2.2. All data provided by the user will be processed according to data protection regulations (privacy policy).
2.3. The user is responsible for submitting accurate information. Incorrect information may result in the cancellation of the reservation.
3. Vehicle Reservation and Payment
3.1. The user can reserve a vehicle using the online store’s order form, specifying the desired rental period, vehicle type, and other necessary details.
3.2. A confirmation of the reservation will be sent to the user’s provided email. The reservation is valid only after payment is completed.
3.3. Payment can be made online via credit card, bank transfer, or other offered payment methods.
4. Rental Period and Vehicle Pick-up
4.1. The vehicle is made available to the user for the rental period specified in the reservation confirmation.
4.2. Vehicle pick-up and drop-off will take place at the agreed location and time, as arranged with the rental company.
4.3. The user undertakes to return the vehicle clean, with a full fuel tank, and in the same technical condition as it was received.
5. Vehicle Use
5.1. The user is entitled to use the vehicle only for personal or business purposes, in compliance with the road traffic regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
5.2. The user is prohibited from using the vehicle for illegal activities, races, transporting goods, or driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances.
5.3. The vehicle may only be driven by the person(s) specified in the reservation as the driver(s), who are authorized to drive the relevant category of vehicles.
6. Liability, Insurance, and Deposit
6.1. The user must make a security deposit payment before receiving the vehicle, which serves as a guarantee for any potential damages.
6.2. The vehicle is insured in accordance with the rental company’s policy, which includes third-party liability insurance and CASCO (comprehensive insurance).
6.3. In case of damage to the vehicle, the user must report it to the rental company and follow the insurance procedures.
7. Return and Delays
7.1. The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time and location. A late return may result in additional charges.
7.2. If the vehicle is not returned on time or is returned damaged, the rental company reserves the right to deduct amounts from the deposit corresponding to the damage.
7.3. The user must inform the rental company of any possible delays or problems with returning the vehicle.
8. Termination of Rental and Dispute Resolution
8.1. The rental company reserves the right to terminate the contract before the rental period ends if the user violates these terms or the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
8.2. Disputes between the rental company and the user will be resolved through negotiation. If negotiations fail, the dispute will be referred to a court in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
9. Additional Terms
9.1. The user confirms that they have read and agreed to the rental company’s internal rules, including fuel policy, penalties for road traffic violations, etc.
9.2. The rental company reserves the right to set additional conditions for certain vehicle categories or services (e.g., luxury-class vehicles).
10. Payments with Stripe
10.1. The car rental online store offers the option to make payments using the Stripe payment system.
10.2. To make a payment, the user must enter valid credit or debit card information, which will be processed using Stripe’s secure payment platform.
10.3. Payment data is processed and stored in accordance with Stripe’s privacy policy, and the rental company does not directly store or process the user’s card information.
10.4. Stripe processes payments only after reservation confirmation and automatically charges the required amount, including the rental fee and security deposit.
10.5. If the payment fails (due to card rejection, insufficient funds, or other reasons), the reservation is considered invalid until the payment is successfully completed.
10.6. Stripe applies its processing and service fees, which may be included in the transaction amount. These fees are displayed at the time of payment confirmation.
10.7. All claims and payment disputes related to Stripe are resolved in accordance with Stripe’s terms and between the user and Stripe service provider.
